Odyssey House Louisiana (OHL) is a nonprofit behavioral health care provider with an emphasis on addiction treatment. OHL was established in 1973 as a nonprofit residential substance abuse treatment facility with the mission of empowering people to conquer addiction. Today, Odyssey House offers a professional, structured and caring Therapeutic Community with comprehensive services and effective support systems that enable individuals to chart new lives and return to their communities as contributing members.

HURRICANE GUSTAV UPDATE:  

Odyssey House has regained power and will REOPEN MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 2008. We will begin accepting residential and outpatient clients as this time. Clients of our additional community programs are encouraged to contact their individual case manager.

Odyssey House DOES NOT treat adolescents, or anyone under the age of 18. You must be 18 years or older to be accepted for treatment service.

ALL staff are expected to report to Odyssey House Monday, September 8, unless otherwise approved by your supervisor.

In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, OHL has expanded its historical mission to include multiple social service programs designed to aid New Orleans' special needs populations.
